Founded in 1891, Morakniv is Sweden’s most well-known manufacturer of knives. We’re also the only brand with our entire production in Sweden. The family company is run by the 3rd and 4th generation of passionate enthusiasts. All our knives are made in the factory located in Mora, Sweden. This factory remains in the exact same place as the factory from our founding year of 1891. Here, we make knives that are exported to more than 65 countries all over the world. Our range includes models for craft and construction, outdoor, kitchen, professional food industry, and woodcarving. Among our 350 different models, you can be sure there’s a knife for everyone and every time. Our team consists of 140 dedicated members that work in our factory every day.
We’re convinced that quality is the key to success. From the beginning, in late 19th century, our knives have been famous for their high quality and long-lasting sharpness. One reason for this is our skill of working with and handling the steel, with our secret company recipe for heat treating the knives at the core. This also includes continuous work with quality control, so that all knives live up to our highly set standards. This ambition is not only seen in our knife manufacturing. It’s a spirit that is seen in every aspect of our company and in everything we do. We work hard on making our processes better and more effective, to develop and get even better in all areas of work. This includes everything from working procedures to working environment and even the global environment. Our will power and constant strive for improvement is one of our primary prides.
